Owner of the St. Francisville Inn, Patrick Walsh, is an outdoor photographer specializing in birds and landscapes. One of his favorite locations is kayaking on Cat Island NWR. To view or purchase his work visit the West Feliciana Parish Historic Society Museum on Ferdinand St., Rosedown Plantation State Historic Site or the St. Francisville Inn.
Merchandise for Sale
The St. Francisville Inn also offers for sale various items throughout the mainhouse. Small antique peices such as clocks, mirrors and glassware are mixed about the wine parlor and dinning rooms. Art and photograph from Murrell Butler, Yolanda D'Aquillia and Patrick Walsh can also be found for sale. Historian and writer, Anne Butler, has several of her books for purchase.

Visitors come to St Francisville and surrounding area for a variety of attractions and experiences. The biggest draw are the wonderful plantation homes open for tours and the annual Audubon Spring Pilgrimage. There are seven plantation concentrated in a 15-20 minute drive. The unusual hilly terrain for Louisiana lends this area as fun for cycling, biking and running. Several cycling and running events take place during the year. There are also several designated areas for trail hiking and restrictive camping. Of course birdwatching is a very big attraction, as John J. Audubon used this area to painted many of his subjects. Photography is another reason to visit St Francisville and West Feliciana with the Mississippi River and its swamps, historic architecture, wildlife, gardens and local people all make wonderful subjects. If looking for golf, West Feliciana Parish has a rated golf course. The quaintest of a small town festival, stroll down the historic district, antique shopping or just a quiet retreat in the country all bring visitors and keep locals enjoying this beautiful area.
