A Really Big Attraction

Yes, really big as in the largest tree east of the California Redwoods.  Cat Island National Wildlife Refuge, just ten minutes west of St. Francisville is home to the National Champion Bald-cypress tree. Such an unique tree brings visitors from the world over, definitely something you want to see..
Other hiking areas include; Mary Ann Brown Preserve, Tunica Wildlife Management Area and State Park, trail at Oakley Plantation and a little further to the north just past the stateline to Mississippi is Clark Creek WMA also referred to as Tunica Falls.
